Apple Power Macintosh Series

 
   
  Apple's Power Macintosh series was sold from March 1994 to May 1998. Originally it consisted of business and graphics systems, but also incorporated consumer and education models. Later systems for all four markets were consolidated into the Power Macintosh G3 and iMac series.
 


Apple Power Macintosh 8100/100AV

 
The Apple Power Macintosh 8100/100AV, based on the Cold Fusion architecture, features a 100 MHz PowerPC 601 processor, 16 MB of RAM, a 1.0 GB hard drive, and an Audio-Visual card with S-video and RCA video input/output in an expandable tower case.

Apple Power Macintosh 8500/180
The Apple Power Macintosh 8500/180, based on the Nitro architecture, features a 180 MHz PowerPC 604e processor, 16 MB or 32 MB of RAM, either a 1.2 GB or a 2.0 GB hard drive, and built-in S-video ports for video input and RCA ports for video and sound input in an expandable tower case. Single-stream video output is supported by this model, but dual-stream output is not.

Apple Power Macintosh 9500/150
The Apple Power Macintosh 9500/150, based on the Tsunami architecture, features a 150 MHz PowerPC 604 processor, 16 MB or 32 MB of RAM, a 2.0 GB hard drive, and a 2 MB ATI video card in an expandable tower case.

Apple Power Macintosh 9600/200MP
The Apple Power Macintosh 9600/200MP, based on the Tsunami architecture, features dual 200 MHz PowerPC 604e processors, 32 MB of RAM, a 4.0 GB hard drive, and a IMS Twin Turbo 120 M4A video card in a well-designed, easy-to-upgrade tower case.
